Today, in the most Raccoon Sky Pirates result possible, the ship carrying the Raccoon Sky Pirates Kickstarter exploded before making it halfway to its destination. That is, I canceled the campaign. s.If you backed it, thank you! And I'm sorry I had to cancel. If you didn't back it, no worries. I'll retool and come back with something closer to the original mailer-box edition. I'll offer the big box of components as a high-tier pledge option. In the meantime, I'll focus on supporting Defy the Gods. It needs help finding people who'll love it. That's what I'll be doing at Origins in a little over a week. I can't believe it's coming so soon! Canceling the Kickstarter was a gut-wrenching decision, but it was the right one. "The money in the pot isn't yours," as they say. The sunk cost wasn't going to justify putting more effort into the game. It might have gotten halfway to its goal, or even 60%, by the end of June. But it wasn't going to make it all the way, and I need to conserve my limited time. Canceling the Kickstarter is also a wake-up call. This is exactly what happened with Defy the Gods! How often will I keep aiming too high and doing a mulligan? I want to learn from this and change how I do things. Here's to learning and changing. xoxoxo P.S. I hope I see you at Origins!
